Jim Tansley
The Leigh Gallery is pleased to present the artwork of Jim Tansley.
Jim Tansley's painting gererally rely on the intuive development of what initially are random marks. No attempt has been made to reference natural reality, but rather to produce unique envrionments which rely on intuitive color and dynamic form for their structure and compostion.
In 2008 Tansley had a solo exhibition at the Renaissance Court Gallery of the Chicago Cultural Center. From 2002 through 2006 his work was seen in solo and group shows in Chicago's Fine Arts Building.
Tansley received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois and pursued further study at the Art Institute of Chicago.
